The HOULDEN REPORT for 6-11-2022

 Well,The HOULDEN REPORT is back after a few years of a Hiatus.I had finally Decided that Facebook wasn't sufficient for the report to move to,so I came Back. This will be a way where I can step out of politics and problems of the day,Sit down and write the report out for anyone to read. As I Look Back,i started the report way back when Obama was president and Linux,Windows,and Mac OS X were neck and neck...lol those were the days. Through My years in tech,I have had the pleasure of communicating and exchanging ideas with folks around the globe. Many of whom I chat with daily. So much happened since my last report. I had recently became a Great Grandpa (shocking I Know) and i have a closer relationship with my family. I talk to my brothers and sisters often.I also stay in constant touch with my kid brother Carl Anthony Houlden Daily. I am Honored to be a part of the family still after seeing my family split apart nearly 20 years ago. Through all of the changes,people coming and going through life,the old friends passing by,the New friends being made,Life still has it's own set of  Little wonders. Each and every day is a totally new adventure.

 When I Awaken every morning,I Thank God that I am still breathing. I do not watch much TV these days with the country going into the toilet,and all the crime,the political lies and corporate indignation of trying to prevent freedom of speech on any platform.The World Wide Web has become a Globalist tech grab for anyone who has the money to control who is saying what about anyone for any reason.In the 60's the phrase was "Turn on and tune out" well I am going to do this .. "Turn on,Tune out and Isolate". By Isolation,You prevent powers that be from knowing how often you go to the toilet or how many times you eat,etc.etc. Duly noted that the tech of yesterday had indeed become an intrusive instrument used to control you.Long time back,I was proud of tech and what it had become. These days,not so much.

I also understand that it is not the fault of the computers or gadgets themselves,but the fault of the tech giants who created them. It isn't the fault of the gadget's Software,but the owner of the software who has an agenda.and that agenda is,is to sell what information they can get from you without your knowledge,to the highest bidder. Ad companies are paying facebook and companies like it,for that information. Facebook users just share their lives on that platform and events,pictures,who is in their families,all for the highest bidder. This is a common practice. facebook had said many times that they are the safest site to be in when in fact they are not. They read all of your posts and (Get this) If you create a Group,You can't reject or decline membership nor can you ban someone from your group without Facebook's consent. Personally,I do not think this is fair. Facebook also infringes on anyone personally speaking candidly on their forums,which is pure nonsense.

These actions are somewhat reminiscent to the behavior Adolf Hitler had when the nazi regime was fighting ww2.  Another action I also find Questionable is that Zuckerberg is the CEO without having to answer to anyone in Facebook. That in itself is never good. There is no apparent way to have checks and balances if the C.E.O. does not have to answer to anyone. My stepdad once told me long ago that "A Lock is only there to keep an Honest man Honest"! I would like to ask "Where is the HONESTY?"I can't see it! Even the Honesty in Government,Has gone down the crapper! I would love to know why this is.

Anyhow,tech wise. I am still running LINUX,Windows has been problematic with WINDOWS 11 and Mac OS has their own thing going fair with Mac OS X. During my foray into linux,I have went from UBUNTU (a spying distro),To Linux mint 15 thru 19,then to MX Linux (All Debian) and Debian itself..seeking a atmosphere of security.To be "Libre" from all the software pitfalls. I have come to some conclusions though. Those conclusions are that in order to be really free from spying eyes you'd have to be rid of most social media and be rid of advertisers. This is an ongoing effort. I see very clearly what Richard Stallman had been saying all these years. The software should be free from spying eyes and safe from malicious software. While being Free to change and distribute. Open Source is the last bastion of FREEDOM that exists. We Must adhere and hold dear that way of thinking.If we do not,then we will lose our freedoms and will be forced to use the dictator Microshaft Winblows or the lesser evil,Mac OS.
