Ubuntu "Jaunty" Release

Well As of this Month Canonical (Ubuntu,Xubuntu,Edubuntu,Kubuntu's Parent company) Decided to release "Jaunty" Ubuntu 9.04 as an upgrade From "Hardy Heron" (version 8.04) and (my favorite) "Intrepid Ibex" (Version 8.14).It was the versions 7.04,7.14,8.04,and 8.14 that got me as far as i did. And Needless to say My Past Expriance With Lindows 5.0 and Mandrake 7.0,8.0 and 9.0 has been a linux blessing in disguise. Now I am able to toy around with Many Distros like "Puppy Linux","Watt OS",and other DEBIAN based distributions, and other KDE and GNOME distributions as well.
My Primary Beef with "Jaunty Jackalope" (Ubuntu 9.04) is the kernels that it requires, renders my present and wonderfully older laptop of 9 years of age, useless. And again the Floppy Drive is not detected. So I am spending extra time locating fabulous work-arounds just to get it all to function.Mr.Torvalds,My 9 year old DELL Inspiron 5000 laptop just loves you..
I finally was able to locate and download the most useful and comprehensive guide yet for Newbie Ubuntu users, entitled "Ubuntu Pocket Guide and Reference" by Kier Thomas. It Book is in PDF Format and You can get the free E-Book at freeebooks.com You can download it to your Thumb drive (as I did) and you can print it up any time you wish. The book gives a comprehensive look at Ubuntu through the eyes of a old windows user/new Ubuntu newbie.
