The Houlden Report For Thursday September 14,2017
Well After a week of suffering back and hip pain,I am Proud to say today was pain free.
some time earlier this week I had received two Laptop mice. One is a Logitech M210 (without the USB receiver) and an Microsoft laptop wireless optical Mouse 3000 (no USB reliever). not banged up just not all there.I also went to a local Gaming place near me and dove into their freebie bin and got some peripherals and adapters I may need Later on.
So far My Xbox 360 still fairs out very well. I am amazed with it.This is the one where you can get the red ring of death. This usually occurs when it is overheated and some solder is not connecting. Then all you do is wrap it in a towel to warm it up for 5 minutes, unwrap and let it cool for 5 minutes then turn it back on.
I also fared well on a laptop desk that id found in a dumpster dive. Turns out that all it needed was a good cleaning and torquing of the screws that held it together. It is now being used as a laptop workstation where I can access both the internet, and the space to work on one when I should need to.
Recently,I had changed my ISP from AT&T to Charter spectrum cable. It was a huge boost from a mere 5mps with AT&T to 60 to 65MPS with charter.I am impressed. It is helping my downloading ISO images of Linux go along smoother...
The DELL 1905FP monitor i am now using is turning out to be great. It was a dumpster find as well.Turned out it is a 19 inch LCD that swivels and tilts, and raises. It also has 4 USB ports built in so you can connect your mouse of keyboard to it (I stuck a USB back-light on it so it lights up when the computer turns on,so I don't wreck my eyes). for now.we will conclude this report.
Till Next time..
Mike
