The Houlden Report for Wednesday,September 28, 2016
It has been two years since the last one and there is so much to write about. It seems that Blogger is not being the number 1 site for blogging anymore and mostly i blogged in Facebook. However, seeing that this site was the first site to carry my blogs,i am right back at it.Facebook has too many distractions to be able to focus on writing anything new.Reader Participation is way down so it is telling me that either they do not wish to read any more or that they simply do not care enough to want to read anything I write. It seems the folks in Google + are not focused anymore on the blogger.I found this rather odd.
So for the reason to spread more word of the Houlden Report,it will be shared through twitter,Facebook, google + and any other media link available. There is a numerous amount of new news to be added. And I see the report will be continuing on right here as I see fit and deemed possible.
Update:
Two years or so back,I did indicate that windows xp was being killed off on March 2014 .that did happen. To say it loudly,XP is alive and well in my house. It is just not connected.Windows 7 still is supported till 2017. windows 8 and 8.1 till about 2019 windows 10 has been out for over a year and is a total disaster.
I went completely Linux full time 2 years ago. All of my important online computers are all running Linux and are doing great. My distribution is Linux Mint 18 mate.. and I like it. I don't worry about all the things that bogg them down because windows has become a resource hog and a broken OS that likes to spy on it's users. I have chromium instead of chrome,I have Vivaldi,i have the Ubuntu browser, and TOR as well as Firefox so if i wanted to thwart the NSA,i very well can at any time.
It seems that if you recalled my much earlier reports when Ubuntu Linux and windows were in a race,it seems that Microsoft has fumbled the ball finally and Linux is getting the glory. It also seems that Linux is developing all the cool stuff while Windows won't let you do anything except download the same usual programs that just sit around and do nothing at all.It also seems that Windows is the most nastiest case of broken coded mishaps that has ever been created. One jam up after another. in one instance last year,a woman sued Microsoft for $20,000.00 US because Microsoft installed windows 10 on her windows 7 machine and it lost all of her work. If you ask me,if she was running a Linux Distribution, she would have had all her work saved with no hassles at all.
There is a world of differences between Linux and Windows ..
in order to update, clean and defrag.
WINDOWS: start/Accessories/System tools/clean start/Accessories/ system tools defrag start/updater
LINUX : CTRL T $sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade && sudo apt-get autoclean && sudo e4defrag / and you are done a single line of code in a terminal does all of that...
Huge difference.
That's The HOULDEN Report for now... see you guys next time
